Sixth Class Trip to Slievenamon

Yesterday we went up Slievenamon. We parked the cars in Kilcash. We walked in total about 10 km. We went up normally and had lunch at the top. We were the first sixth class to see the school by using mirrors and the sun. On the way back down we went to the waterfall and into the water. After that we walked through the forest. Then after that we walked on a dirt track for about a kilometre. Them we were at the cars. We went into Grangemockler for ice cream. We were back at the school at about five to three.

Yesterday at half nine all of sixth class left for Slievenamon. We all split up into different cars. Ciara, Ali and I went with Miss Mason. Mr Gleeson and Miss Meehan came too. We parked  in Kilcash and walked up to the start of the mountain. It was a lovely day and we all had loads of sun cream on. When we got to the top we were wrecked. We took a picture and then ate our lunch, then sir rang Mrs Egan back home and they used a mirror to flash us so we could see them. We tried to flash them back but it didn't work, we could see them clearly though. We walked down to the waterfall after that. Everyone went for a paddle. A few of us fell, but dried off fast. The walk home was the nicest part and except for a few blisters we all had a great day.
