Dear Parents/Guardians

I would like to welcome you all back after the Christmas holidays and once again wish everyone a very happy New Year.  Hope you all had a restful break as we face a new calendar year.

A big thank you to all for supporting the Christmas raffle and     congratulations to all who won our fabulous prizes.  Thanks to the many sponsors of our raffle prizes, local businesses, parents, staff and parents council.  The raffle raised €1,220 towards our fundraising and we are very grateful for your support.  A big thank you also to our hard working Parents Council, who organised the raffle tickets, wrapped and organised the prizes at our raffle on the day of the Christmas Prayer Service.

Thanks also for the Hot Chocolate and treats which were a “big hit” with all students.

On a personal note I would like to take this opportunity to once again thank all of our wonderful school community for their support, concern and good wishes during my recent illness.  The prayers, flowers, cards, phone calls and visits were deeply appreciated and greatly enhanced my speedy recovery.

Enrolment 2018/2019

• If you wish to enrol your child in Our Lady’s N.S. for September 2018 please call to the school for enrolment form before Friday 23^rd February, forms need to be returned by Friday March 16^th

• School Show

It’s Show Time!!

This years production will be “Jack and the BeanStalk”.

We hope to stage it in the Community Hall on March 21^st and 22^nd.

We will be asking for parent volunteers in the coming weeks.

       Reminders:

• As per our school rules students must wear full uniform to school except on gym days where they are obliged to wear the school tracksuit and appropriate runners for health and safety reasons.  Due to recent regulations gum shields are now obligatory for football training.

• Homework: Homework is given to all pupils on a regular basis.  We ask you to ensure that it is done carefully and child’s journal signed (1^st – 6^th class) each night.

The health & safety of all staff and students is of paramount importance to School Management.  I would strongly urge any parent with any issues related to any area of school life to follow proper procedures in having the matter dealt with.
