Thurles Credit Union Table Quiz

On Friday, January 27th two teams of Ballingarry's brightest went to Thurles to represent Our Lady's N.S. in the annual Credit Union Table Quiz. Our u13 team did extremely well to finish fourth in their quiz. The u11 team were heartbreakingly knocked into second place after two tie break rounds were needed to separate themselves and Holycross N.S.
Nevertheless our younger team earned themselves some prize money and today Catherine Henderson came out from Thurles Credit Union to present them with it. Well done to all our participants and a big thanks to the parents who brought them and supported them on the night.

Another Pet Poem

Here is another pet poem for you all. This one was composed by Billy McGrath in Sixth Class.

My Pet
I have a little Jack Russell
He is very, very small.
His name is Jeremy Clarkson
And he likes to play ball.
He is the only boy
He's coloured white and brown.
He's definitely not shy
And he never has a frown.
He's very, very cute
But really not that quiet.
He likes to jump around
And only sleeps at night.

He squeals and howls
And pulls out of towels.
That's my puppy
Hopefully he'll be lucky.
