Hurling Blitz

History was made today (April 28th) as the first hurling team to represent Our Lady's N.S. took to the field. Cloneen was the venue for the Roinn G Section 4 blitz. There was a high standard of hurling on view with most of the games quite close. Drangan ended the blitz topping the group with Our Lady's second. We wish Drangan the very best of luck in the next round.

Camogie Blitz

Well done to the ten girls who represented the school today at the camogie blitz in Gortnahoe. Five teams took part in the blitz meaning that our girls had four games to play. Some of the results didn't go our way but the girls never gave up hope and registered a fine victory in their third game.

Athletics Training

Marie Corbett made a welcome return to the school to take 3rd to 6th Classes out for some more athletics training. This time the focus was on the throwing events with the javelin proving to be very popular.

Writers of the Month - March

The most improved writers in each class for the month of March were awarded with certificates for their efforts. Not surprisingly Ms O'Sullivan picked up the staff award for the third month running. It's getting a bit suspicious at this stage!

Class of the Month - March

Class of the Month for March went to Junior and Senior Infants. A large part of their success was attributed to their excellent behaviour during rehearsals and the two performances of our show. Mrs Egan was delighted with them and the students were delighted with their two nights off homework.

Community Games

Last weekend was a busy one for the Community Games. There were county finals in Art, Handwriting and Cross Country. Here's how some of our students got on.

Spikeball

Fifth and Sixth Class enjoyed their first Spikeball session today. Transition Year students Katie Cleere, Maria McGrath and Megan Lawlor put them through their paces this afternoon. The three girls will take the senior students for a further five coaching sessions to ready them for the blitz in May. The girls did brilliantly and our thanks go out to them and their teacher, Mr Moran for all their hard work.
